you should be extremely proud of your efforts in building this thing, I can appreciate the amount of time and effort put into this car as well as the difficultly in finding good condition parts for restoration

ps- u have won the cedric build-off comp yet cause its doesnt have rego :giggle:

Hahaha.....animal.........YES!

My brother is down from Townsville and I spoke to him about how cool it would be to drive up there and go cruisin' the streets! It would DEFINATELY be a stop over point for me Mitchell. That would be so cool 8) :thumbsup:

Time to drop tools for a day or two...I'm exhausted (and broke!) :|

But I'm stoked!!!!!! It runs well, really well. I've set the limiter at 4K and that's enough to just taste things to come.

There was a hiccup to getting the rego done. The front brake modifications were deemed illegal and the inspector did not pass my car.

He wanted to see an engineers report for the front brakes but I didn't have one . I don't remember the guys doing it ever mentioning this but deep down in my heart I kinda knew it might be a problem.

I was told by the inspector I had two options, keep the brake mods on the car and get it certified by an engineer or refit the stock brakes.

I had brand new rotors and reco'ed sumitomo stock calipers and they went back on. I've ordered a set of bendix ultimates for the car today.

I'm so glad I didn't just whack on the 9 inch or the disc brake conversion for the rear otherwise guess what....... :(

There's a moral here, Kiss. Or engineer it and take the papers with you when you get the rego done.

Now Mitchel, time to take the stage buddy and get yours on the road...its a great feeling, the best. :hug: Of course, when you're in Sydney, look me up!

that sucks :( so you have a front brake upgrade forsale then? im only joking. Are you going to get an engineer to check it out again in the future or have the rta laws made that too difficult? At this stage in QLD we can still get someone to look at the mod and say yea thats fine here is a modification plate :giggle:
